Ghats in Vrindavan Town

Yamuna flows graciously in Vrindavan town along several ghats (a series of steps leading down to a water body) where Krishna performed His pastimes. Some of the important ghats that lie in Vrindavan town are Kaliya Ghat, Keshi Ghat, Chir Ghat,  and Imli Taal Ghat. Kaliya Ghat is the place where Krishna subdued the envious serpent by dancing on his hoods. Keshi Ghat is the ghat where Krishna killed the malicious demon Keshi by choking him up by putting His hand in the demon’s mouth. Chir ghat is the place where Krishna stole the clothes of the young Gopis while they were bathing in the Yamuna. Imli Taal Ghat is the ghat where Krishna assumed the mood and color of Shrimati Radharani in feelings of intense separation from Her during Rasa Leela.
