Vata is a Sanskrit name for a Banyan tree. There are several huge Banyan trees in Vrindavan. It is said that trees in Vrindavan are not ordinary. They are all Kalpavriksha trees i.e. desire fulfilling trees. Some of the most important Vatas in Vrindavan are Advaita Vata, Shringar Vata and Vamshi Vata.
