Radhanath Swami On Seeing with the Heart

While in Vrindavan, we may see all sorts of traffic jams, hogs, sewage etc. Srila Prabhupada explained to us that there is a very thin layer that covers Vrindavan. We must not see through our eyes. We must see with our hearts. By hearing from the scriptures and the great souls we develop faith and we must see with the vision of that faith that nothing can pollute and contaminate Vrindavan.

“It is very important that we come here not to enjoy a vacation but we come here to serve. We come here to surrender and to get purified by chanting and performing any type of seva in the association of devotees.”

Lord Krishna tells in Bhagavad Gita that only by pure devotion can He be seen. Therefore it is very important that when we come to Vrindavan we do not take anything for granted.

Sri Vrindavan is chintamani dham, which can fulfill all one’s desires. But we don’t get entrance in this chintamani dham until our only desire is the loving service of the servants of the servants of servants of Sri Sri Radha Gopinath.
