The following is an excerpt from a class given by Radhanath Swami during the Vrindavan Yatra of 2011:
The month of Kartik manifests and personifies the unlimited compassion of Lord Krishna’s eternal pleasure potency, Srimati Radharani.
Any devotional service performed in Vrindavan has the potency to purify our hearts and connect us to Lord Krishna several times more than devotional service performed anywhere else. And to be in Vrindavan in the association of devotees during the month of Kartik is an inconceivable good fortune and we should never think that we deserve this. It has been given to us – it is a matchless gift.
We can appreciate this gift if our hearts are truly grateful and if we express that gratitude through our humble appreciation for the mercy of Srila Prabhupada, all the Vaishnava Acharyas and Sri Sri Radha Shyamasundar. We can express our gratitude also through our service attitude.
